Amanda: A century ago, a gentle blind girl walked the cliffs of Paradise Point. Then the children came - taunting, teasing - until she lost her footing and fell, shrieking her rage to the drowning sea... Michelle: Now Michelle has come from Boston to live in the big house on Paradise Point. She is excited about her new life, ready to make new friends...until a hand reaches out of the swirling mists - the hand of a blind child. She is asking for friendship...seeking revenge...whispering her name...

5 von 5 Sternen Guarantee to Chill You in the Death Valley in August

This has to be one of the most subtly, relentlessly, deliciously, and persistently scary book you'll ever read. I've read it over fifteen years ago, but I still remember feeling my scalp tingling, jumpling, sweating, and otherwise behaving erratically while I was reading it in a broad daylight. Highly recommended.

5 von 5 Sternen spOOky!

This was my very first John Saul book and it is absolutely great! I simply could I not put it down! I must admit, I sometimes found it difficult to read at night! Highly recommended book! Very easy reading and simple to understand.

5 von 5 Sternen Guaranteed to Scare You Silly.

This is the best John Saul book that I have ever read. This book will make it hard to go to sleep with the lights off. I recommend this book if you want to be scared!

1 von 5 Sternen Predictable and somewhat boring!

I found this book to be extremely predictable from start to finish. The plot was well used, and proved tedious to force myself to read at times. The main charictor in the story, the girl's father, just does not seem real to me. After reading great horror by King, Bradbury and Peter Straub, I was greatly un- impressed with this book.

5 von 5 Sternen It was a divine book!

This book about an ancient hate in a modern day setting was the BOMB!!!!I totally loved it!It will always be my favorite books.I've read all of John Saul's books and that is the best one of tham all.
