[570] Price, Richard, geb. 1723 in Tynton, gest. 1791. = Gegner des Empirismus und der Lehre vom »moral sense«. P. ist Rationalist, auch in der Ethik. Der Verstand ist die Quelle ursprünglicher Begriffe, zu denen auch Raum, Zeit und Kausalität gehören, ebenso der Begriff des Guten und Bösen.
