Fort Pillow

[796] Fort Pillow (spr. fōrt pillo), ein Erdwerk im nordamerikan. Freistaat Tennessee, am Mississippi, oberhalb Memphis, bekannt durch das Blutbad, das hier die Konföderierten unter General Forrest 12. April 1864 anrichteten; das Fort wurde darauf gesprengt.
