[426] Devōnische Formation, Devōn, Schichtenreihe von Grauwacken, Quarziten, Tonschiefern, Kalksteinen, bes. Kramenzelkalk, lokal auch Sandsteinen (Old red sandstone), ruht auf der Silurischen Formation und wird von der Steinkohlenformation überlagert; verbreitet im Rhein.
