[1395] Rivington, Walter, zu London, geb. 1838, studierte im London Hosp., wurde 1859 Member, 1863 Fellow des R. C. S. Engl., war Surgeon am London Hosp. und Dozent der Anat. und Chir. bei dem Med. Coll. desselben, sowie Surgeon des Lond. Disp., Spitalfields, 1879 bis 83 Examinator der Anat. und Physiol., seit 1891 Member des Council von R. C. S., zuletzt Consulting Surgeon am Lond. Hosp. und starb 8. Mai 1897. R. beschäftigte sich auch eine Zeitlang mit Ohrenkrankheiten und verfasste u.a.: »The medical profession« (1879, 1. Carmichael-Preisabhandlung) – »Account of a peculiar variety [1396] of encysted hydrocele of the spermatic cord combined with inguinal hernia« (Lond. Hosp.
